Biography Unconventional and independent Artist Christopher Langley was born in Pontypridd in 1962. He is now based in Cardiff. Self taught, he has been painting semi-professionally since his first solo exhibition in 2012. With original and exceptional works, Chris won recognition as a twice Lumen Prize finalist. Christopher has produced two national Welsh shows and has exhibited in galleries in Cardiff, London and New York. His work features in private and corporate collections worldwide. Christopher is a committee member of the South Wales Art Society, one of the oldest established societies of its kind in the world and is a regular contributor to Critique Nights, which he came runner up in 2015 with ?Newport Beach in Pink?, then First Place in Nov 2016 with ?Forest on Red?. Chris? work is influenced by David Hockney, in addition to the mood and atmospheric Scottish landscapes created by Gillian McDonald. He is also impressed by the haunting semi-abstract works of fellow Welsh artist Corrie Chiswell. Bywgraffiad Roedd Artist anghonfensiynol ac annibynnol Christopher Langley eni ym Mhontypridd ym 1962.
